I'm still around, just have been busy babysitting grandchildren, and playing taxi driver to just everybody and their brother. (just kidding about the last part)! Both granddaughters are now a year old, walking, and getting into trouble. Hubby and I are in Arkansas right now visiting his Mom and Sister. We've got here on our 11th wedding anniversary. We go home tomorrow. It's been fun, it usually is, but it has been cold. They live in a suburb of little Rock, and it has not been this cold before when we've been here in the Winter. My feet are about frozen!
We have finally found a church that I am happy with. It is a Catholic church that does an Anglican Use Mass. In fact, this church has 3 different Masses; a Traditional mass, a Gospel Mass, (yes, you read that right, A Gospel Mass), and the Anglican use mass that we go to. We both just love it! It is St. Terese Little Flower in K.C. They even do Incense, which Redemptorist did not do.
Sorry this is late, been busy. My newest granddaughter was born on Tues. Morning at 6:32 via c-section. Mom's water broke Monday morning about 5:45, took her in to the hospital, they did have to start pitocin. Mom got as far as a 9 dilation, the left side of the cervix never did thin out enough, so Dr. decided at about 5 the next morning, that we better get baby out. No, she was not in any stress, just that mom was stuck where she was and wouldn't go any further, so Dr. did a c-section. Baby Junne weighed 8 lbs 2 ozs., and was 20 inches long! Mom and baby are doing fine, and went home today.
As you can see, I have put up 2 pregnancy tickers on my right sidebar. Both of my daughter's are expectingwithin 1 1/2 months of each other! These will be my first and second blood grandchildren! All the others are step-grandkids! (Which doesn't mean I don't love them any less)!
It seems that my Religious views are changing yet again. I'm reading more and more blogs of people(Gentiles) that are becoming Torah Observant. And what I am reading makes sense. You must read Scripture in CONTEXT! We, even as Gentiles, need to obey the word of YHWH! Keep the seventh day Sabbath. Look at how the calendar is set up, where is Sunday placed on the calendar? At the beginning of the week. DUH! Where is Saturday placed? At the END of the week! Let's count the days, Sunday is day 1, hence Saturday is day 7!YHWH said to keep the 7th day HOLY! Let's open our eyes people!
I started getting sick last Wednesday with body aches, low grade fever, flu symptoms. Then I started feeling like it was a Sinus Infection, and I just was getting worse over the weekend. I went to the Doctor yesterday, and I not only have a Sinus Infection, but an Ear Infection. Then last night, I ended up in the ER with a busted Eardrum, and there is a Puss Pocket behind the Eardrum. Needless to say, I am in some pain. I have had 3 Major Surgeries, and have not felt this much pain. I tried to lay down for a little bit in the evening, and the pain and pressure just got worse. My husband heard me coming down stairs, and we just stood at the foot of the stairs while I cried because of the pain, and that is when the Eardrum busted. I screamed it hurt so bad!
The ER doctor put me on different medication than what my Doctor had me on, and I have to follow up with an ENT.
Our 3 month old granddaughter may have a hearing loss, we will know more next month.
Last week her parents took her in for a hearing test(she leans her head to the left), because they thought maybe that might cause a problem. The left eardrum did not move at all, and the right one moved just a little bit, so we took her to her Pediatrician to see if there was any fluid behind her eardrums. The left ear was clear, the right ear had a little bit of fluid, but it was clear fluid.(The fluid started draining the next day). Any way, she goes back for another hearing test next month. Please Pray that all goes well.
Also next month, I go see an eye specialist to be tested for Glaucoma.
We have already taken our annual vacation to Arkansas. Got back yesterday afternoon. We did not go to the second destination this year due to finances, so we just came home. But hubby is still on vacation for another week, so we will be doing some day trips on the motorcycle (if my hip will let me)!
I had a birthday on Saturday, I am now 50. I did NOT like the idea of being a half century old, but since I do not look my age, that helps a little. Not much else going on.
Had surgery last Thursday to correct Trigger finger on the middle finger of my right hand, had the stitches taken out yesterday.
I have been reading a lot, and I finally got to go back to a Bible study this morning that I have been to before, but my family and Satan always got in the way and wouldn't let me continue. Maybe this time I'll be able to go for a while. Hubby may have to sell the Motorcycle because of his Arthiritis. If that happens, then he will probably buy himself a Sports car. That way, with 2 cars, I will be able to go to a church that I want to go to!
Many of you may have read that I grew up in the Catholic church, and that I left said church when I married my first husband. You may have also read that my husband now joined the Catholic church last year at the Easter Vigil, and that I have been going to church with him because of having only 1 vehicle, and my NOT being able to go anywhere else.
Well, lately, I have been feeling a TUG ( not a pull) to go back to the Catholic church. Partly because I love the Liturgy ( I always did)! And there are some of things I do agree with the Church on. For example; Abortion, Homosexual relations, the Right to Life ( even for the Elderly), etc. BUT, there are things I just can not agree with, and will NOT agree with, for example; The Marian Dogma. Where do they come up with that stuff? There is NO Scriptural basis for any of it.(At least not that I know of)! And, Hubby is sort of pressuring me to go back. I just don't know what to do!
...so I have been reading quite a bit lately. Have gotten back to reading my Lamplighter books. Have read "True to the Last", and am now reading "That Printer of Udells"! "True to the Last" is very good. I highly recommend ALL the books from Lamplighter Publishing!
